Trombones and Tubas

Trombones are low buzzed-lip or "brass" instruments. Unlike other brass instruments, the length of the tube is changed with a slide rather than valves.

Like trumpets, trombones can use mutes to vary the timbre.

The tuba is the lowest buzzed-lip instrument, and, while powerful, is rarely a solo instrument.
